What should I wear to my class?
Choose something comfy and stretchy, so you can move easily. It’s best to go for well-fitting rather than baggy clothes, so we can see the way you’re doing each exercise and show you any changes you need to make. You won’t need trainers – Pilates is usually done in socks or bare feet.
How many people will there be in my class?
We like to keep classes fairly small so our instructors can see how everyone’s doing and make individual suggestions on how to improve your technique. So, we’ll usually make 6 to 8 places available for each class, when you are in the studio.
What qualifications do the instructors have?
We’re all fully qualified Pilates instructors, trained by the outstanding Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute, Polestar Pilates or Future Fit. On top of their Pilates qualifications, 80% of our instructors are also professional physiotherapists, registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. Because we’re a physio-owned studio, everything we do is overseen by a physio team, who make sure the latest thinking feeds into our classes.
How do your Zoom classes work?
Just like our in-person ones! We still keep classes small, with 6 to 10 people, so our instructors can see everyone clearly and make individual suggestions. Classes are live and when you book we’ll send you all the login details you need. Before each class, make sure you’ve got plenty of space to do the exercises and your camera is on so we can see you!
What if I can’t make it to my usual class?
If something comes up, don’t worry. We’ve got a really easy class-swap system that lets you book an alternative session once you’ve cancelled yours.
I think I’m injured. What should I do?
Get in touch and we’ll talk it through with you. We’re a physio-led studio, so we’ll be able to give you advice on keeping comfortable and feeling better.
Will I be able to park easily?
Yes! We’re based at The Lilley Clinic, on the beautiful Lowerslope End Farm estate in Hungerford, so there’s plenty of free, off-street parking right outside.
What do I need to bring?
We ask everyone to bring along their own Pilates mat. Apart from that, you’ll just need a small towel or cushion to put under your head and a bottle of water.
